The Fresh Pressed Edit is a series on A Cup of Kims where we share our favorite things, videos, and other random items that we’ve liked this month.
September is only a few days away and we are so excited for the fall season!
Gone is the summer and now it’s all about fall scents, fall decor, and school preparations. In our household, we’re preparing to celebrate my beautiful nephew’s birthday, my husband’s birthday and a few things we’re hoping to improve around the house. As a result, many of the things we’ve liked this month have been in relation to gifts, home decor for myself, and many documentaries that my husband and I have been watching a lot of. In fact, I think all month we’ve been watching documentaries and informational videos.
Well, here are some of the things we’ve been a fan of this past month.
After seeing Julia’s house on Southern Living, I am so inspired by how beautiful it is! If I had the money, this would be ideally how I would decorate our home.
As I work on trying to get better with my photography, I have been really interested in film photography. Loved this post discussing what process he uses to do so!
I loved this post from the perspectives of aunts! My nephew’s birth was one of the highlights of my 2018 and he’s so loved and so special to all of us! I’m so thankful to be his aunt and it’s cool to hear different perspectives of how other aunts feel about being aunts.
These DIY chinoiserie pumpkins that I am hoping to recreate this fall.
I loved this post sharing about Jillian’s tips for maintaining long-distance friendships! My closest friends and I do not live that far apart, but many of these tips are still helpful even for me!
Our church is non-denominational, but our parent church is the CRC. Given all of the things going on in our world, it really encouraged me to see them take such a firm stance and speak out about this.
I have been a big fan of Pinterest, recently. I have been using a lot for planning events for work, peers, and just random inspiration for fall decor and outfits. Feel free to follow me, if you’d like!
The Chesapeake sauce from Royal Farms is superb. I don’t know why I’m just now finding out about it, but after trying it for the first time when we returned from vacation, I’m a huge fan and ended up getting them again with some spicy chicken bites. Amazing.
Although we were sure we weren’t going to get Disney+ because I’m not a fan of the trend of different companies trying to get in on creating separate streaming services, I must say those shows and reboots coming out of Disney+ are pretty convincing.
Our slow cooker because it’s been the real MVP lately on many nights when we don’t know what to cook the next day and am too tired from work to make an entire meal. We pop the meat or stew into the slow cooker and let it stew all day while we work.
We got to go on the Wilmington Western Railroad with family, which was a lot of fun!
I’m so excited for fall and I’m happy that many stores such as Bath and Bodyworks have released their fall candles!
Maiale’s Deli in Delaware is quickly becoming one of our favorite spots to get a good sandwich. So so good.
The Nod podcast is one of our favorite podcasts to listen to because it’s seriously so funny.
These jeans because after years of being a skinny jean lover, some pairs don’t make me feel as confident. I’ve been eyeing more straight-legged or wide-legged jeans to pair with flats or short heels. I still love my skinny jeans, but thinking of transitioning into primarily pairing them with boots.
This tea kettle from Anthropologie is so cute!
This guest towel from Amazon!
This game for future game nights at home.
