One of the things that I have been wanting to purchase for a while is a kitchen set and grocery store set. Growing up, I have so many fond memories playing alongside my cousin at my pretend hair station, pretending to be doing their hair as they sat there, patient as I tried to put who knows what in their hair. I loved pretend play and it’s something that I want to try to nurture in our family because I believe it can increase their creativity as adults – something that is useful in any career pathway you choose. Also, I think there’s something so special and fun about preserving that part of childhood for as long as you can where it’s so easy to imagine and pretend things.
Now, the only thing about these sets is that they can be a little pricey, so I’ve been quite patient when it comes to actually making a purchase on a set.
While we haven’t purchased one just yet, that hasn’t stopped me from having my eye on everything from pretend play kitchen sets, veterinarian sets, grocery store sets and more. In today’s post, I thought I’d share with you some of the items we’ve been considering and some items that you make like to.
