When it came to making our registry, I admittedly was clueless at first. When you begin searching for items for your baby, there are so many brands and options to choose from that it can feel a bit overwhelming. Yeah, we need a stroller, but which stroller of the hundreds that are probably out there do we buy? Do we purchase one that’s pricer because well-known or go for one that isn’t as well-known but meets what we’d need it for? I think one of the biggest reasons it took us so long to finalize our baby registry was that I was second-guessing myself a lot and trying to figure out what we should register for versus purchasing ourselves. We finally finished our registry, so I thought I’d share with you some of the things we registered for.
Instead of sharing everything we registered for, we’re sharing things that we feel are the most practical items we registered for so far.
Baby Items We Registered For & Why We Did It
Our Registry Items
The First Years Digital Baby Warmer:
When I asked my mom if I should register for one of these or if this was one of those unnecessary purchases, she recommended buying it. I was back and forth between this and the AVENT warmer, but this one sold me because of the reviews.
Haakaa Ladybug Milk Collector:
This was another recommended item for us since we’re going to try breastfeeding/pumping. She mentioned how this helps so that while breastfeeding or pumping, I can place the collector on the other to catch more.
Hatch Baby Sound Machine:
I’ve been looking at this since before we conceived baby girl because I had heard so many good things about it. I love the features of it and how you can program things so that you set routines within the sleep schedule.
Evenflo Symphony All-in-One Carseat:
When looking for a car seat, we wanted something that would grow with them. We were considering a couple of options but eventually decided on the Evenflo Symphony because it had what we were looking for and was affordable. As much as I wanted the Evenflo 360, it felt like it was a bit pricey for our budget and we didn’t feel comfortable asking our loved ones to buy that for us either.
Infantino Baby Carrier
This was another item we were unsure about at first because I had never heard of the brand, but the reviews made us feel comfortable purchasing it. We also like how it seems to be one that can transition with them as they get a little bigger, but can also be used while they’re a newborn.
Rohent Car Baby Camera:
We ended up going with this one because of the reviews and because after seeing a TikTok about how their baby’s car seat caught on fire because of the reflection of the sun in the mirror made us look into other options.
Owlet:
This was an item we wanted to register for because, I knew that if there was something that would give me even just a little bit of additional ease when it comes to tracking our baby’s health, it was worth it. This was one of those items we thought would be important to register for or purchase ourselves.
Sterilizer:
This was something that was recommended for us, so we decided to go along with the recommendation. I love that you can sterilize not just bottles, so it’s something we can use when they’re old enough to eat baby food or even to sterilize their pacifiers.
Bathtub Kneeler & Elbow Rest:
I don’t know about you, but I don’t have Meg knees like I used to. When I first saw this, I added it to the registry with the quickness because I know that we’ll both need it.
Frida Baby 4-in-1 Bath Tub:
We loved that it’s something that we’ll be able to use for the first 12 months. It’s meant to grow with them and has an insert that can be adjusted or removed as she grows bigger.
Rocking Chair Nursery Glider:
We wanted to grab a chair that we’d be able to put in our bedroom until we move our baby fro the bassinet to the crib for late-night feedings and would later fit into the nursery as they got older. We liked that this is a neutral color that’ll match the decor of both rooms, and we also like that it’s functional.
3-Drawer Changing Table & Dresser:
This was such a bang-for-your-buck item because it’s something that will fit her clothes, but we can also use as a changing table. This was an immediate add for us.
Delta Closet Organizer:
In hopes of getting the nursery closet organized, we added this to our registry as well. It comes in a lot of colors and we like that it has everything that we would’ve tried purchasing separately in one bundle.
Frida Baby Control-the-Flow:
How practical is this? Such a great item for bath time.
HelloBaby Monitor:
When looking for monitors, we knew we wanted something that was WiFi free and this one fit the bill and had good reviews!
