Disclaimer: This post is not sponsored. We received a free shipping code for trying the coffee, but were not paid to provide this review and paid for the product. We just loved the mission behind this coffee company and decided we wanted to try it. As with all reviews, both sponsored and unsponsored, our reviews are our honest thoughts of the product.

Recently, we found out about Abra Coffee for the first time, a coffee shop we found out about after one of the owners who we mutually follow reached out to us on Instagram to share with us about their blends. What initially drew me to this company was their origin story and how the owners started brewing coffee on their own.
They are independent coffee roasters based in Miami, where they create their own blends in-house. Paula Lima, one of the owners, is actually a third-generation roaster and has helped her family manage their coffee farm in Brazil. How incredible is that? I admire that Paula’s love and admiration for coffee roasting started generations before and she’s been committed to continuing that love through Abra since.
We got the Brazil blend, which is described as having chocolatey and caramel notes. We both love sweeter coffee blends and felt it would be the best blend to try before deciding if we’d purchase from them again in the future.
THE ORDERING & SHIPPING PROCESS:
The process to order was incredibly convenient!
They have featured blends available in their store that you can purchase from, which ensures that the blends you’re getting are freshly made. They even stamp the date on your bag that you order so you know when the beans you’re brewing were roasted.
Once you decide on your bag, the rest of the process is very customizable, which I don’t remember seeing before. You can choose not only whether you want whole bean or ground coffee, but you can also customize it based on your brewing method. Whether you own a drip machine, a French press, an espresso machine or you’re making a cold brew, you can specify that in your order. I love this because they take out some of the guesswork for you by making sure their blends fit the brewing method you’re hoping to use them for is incredibly convenient.
From there, the process and shipping is very quick and convenient. We purchased it a little before Thanksgiving on November 24th, and got it that same week. We were thankful for that because we knew we were getting a fresh blend.

THE COFFEE
As far as the coffee, we both loved it! We wanted to wait until after we’d tried it for a week to give a full review and we were very pleased with the flavor. I sampled the coffee without anything in it and it tastes like it was described. It’s a medium roast and the flavor was coffee was smooth with notes of chocolate and caramel without it being too overpowering.
Once paired with my oat milk, it was easily one of my favorite blends I’ve had recently and I can see why it was described as being a popular item in the shop.
Han prefers dark roasts, but he shared that he actually enjoyed it as well! He loves coffees with sweeter notes such as chocolate or caramel, so for this blend to have both was a pleasant mixture. It’s also his favorite syrups to get in his coffee, lately, but I digress.
If you like sweet blends with just the right amount of acidity, you’ll love this blend. It’s delicious, chocolatey, and not too bitter than it takes away from the notes you’re supposed to taste. Whether you enjoy it alone or pair it with your favorite cream of choice, it’s a delicious treat each sip. It’s a smooth, well-balanced blend that we’re excited to try again once it becomes available.
