CEREMONY COFFEE ROASTERS
Recently we visited Baltimore for a quick day trip and an opportunity to catch up with friends. I think one of the perks about living in Philadelphia is that we are so close to so many other metro areas that make for excellent day trips with Baltimore being one of them.
The first thing we did when we arrived in Baltimore is head to Ceremony Coffee, a cafe located in the Harbor Point section of Baltimore. We arrived pretty close to when the store opened, so it was fairly empty at that time. It was quiet with the exception of some music playing softly from the cafe’s speakers and the sounds of espresso machines rearing up.
The decor is minimal but stylishly done. There are large windows giving you a view of the world outside of the coffee shop. There’s a navy blue accent wall at the very back of the coffee shop when you walk in and warm wooden accents around the shop. Everything in the cafe is very clean, organized, and minimally decorated, which adds to a very calming environment as soon as you walk in.
The barista at the register was very kind, professional and patient with us as we glanced over our options for our drinks. While they have your traditional lattes, cappuccinos, and espresso shots, they also have specialty drinks that change seasonally. We visited around the holiday season, so we tried their B’More Mocha, which was a peppermint mocha latte with hints of lemon. I got an iced version while Han got it hot.
Pretty typical for us, I’d say since I can drink iced coffee in practically any setting.

I love peppermint mochas, but I’d never had it with lemon, so I was curious to try it and see how the combination of flavors would work together. The first sip is one where you are immediately greeted with a multitude of flavors that blend together perfectly. You taste the bittersweet creaminess of the mocha, the tartness of the lemon, and the refreshing peppermint – all in one sip. It tastes exactly as it’s described on the menu and it certainly did not disappoint.
In fact, I would say that it’s one of the best peppermint mochas I’ve had and one I would certainly recommend if you ever there and see it on the menu while visiting.

Ceremony Coffee Roasters is the perfect cafe for you if you’re looking for a quick bite to eat and/or a delicious cup of coffee in a nice ambiance. Whether you’re looking for a quiet place to get work done or a place to grab a bite with a friend, it’s a place that I would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a coffee shop to try.
