We visited one of the prettiest cafes in New York City: Felix Roasting Co in Manhattan, New York.

Felix Roasting Co
The same we went to New York for a day trip, we stopped by Felix Roasting Co because we’d heard such good things about it. Online people were talking about everything from the superb service they had, the creative drinks and of course the decor. As travel bloggers, we figured that if we happen to be in the area and have some time to spare, we should visit the coffee shop and see what it offered.
While I may not be an interior designer by trade, interior design is a field that I truly admire and have an appreciation for. The ability to take a four-walled space and turn into something stylish yet comfortable is a gift. Everywhere we go, whether it’s the architectural design of a building or the interior decor, I love taking photos of it.
Well, walking into this space felt truly like I was walking into another world that wasn’t a coffee shop midtown Manhattan. The coffee shop resembles a lobby you may find in a luxury hotel, but definitely not a coffee shop. I joked to my husband that if I had an aesthetic, it would be this.
Everything from the art framed in gold, the wallpaper, the colors, the velvet, jewel-toned sofas – I could go on. Needless to say, I spent a little bit of time after walking into this space behaving very much like a tourist by snapping photographs of different details. I was a little nervous at doing so because most people there were just trying to get some work done, but there I was photographing different items. However, the baristas were really professional and didn’t tell me to stop, so perhaps they’re used to people coming in and being obsessed with the decor like I was.

THE DRINKS:
Shamefully, we did not get the coveted smoked s’mores lattee. I was planning to, but I had so caffeine by the time we got there (2 cups to be exact) that I didn’t want anything at 3 pm that would enable me from being able to sleep later on that evening. However, it’s definitely something that if we’re ever back in that area, I’d love to try at least once.
If s’mores drinks aren’t your thing, they also have other selections, when you want something refreshing, but don’t want the caffeine.
I got a chai latte, which was amazing as it wasn’t too sweet and was very creamy. Han got the matcha tea latte, which was his first time having matcha, but he said it was really delicious.

Outfit Details: Turtleneck Sweater (similar / exact) / Tan coat (similar) / Pearl Beret (similar) / Plaid flannel (similar)
I think next time we’ll try the s’mores drink and a couple of their pastries, which I heard were also very delicious.
If you’re ever in the area and want a cup of coffee or a quiet space to work on some assignments, this is definitely a place I’d recommend. If you’re just visiting the area and in the mood for a refreshing drink, like we were, I’d also recommend that you grab a drink here.
