We haven’t written one of these since August, because things have been really busy lately. It’s an extremely busy time of year for us professionally, so we haven’t much time to write one of these. Truth be told, by the time we’re done making dinner and eating, we pretty much collapsed in bed, so our last post was actually written quite a few months in advance. We’re hoping to get back into the swing of things eventually and that things work out the way we’re hoping to soon, but we may not be posting the Fresh Pressed Edits as often until then.
Here are some of the things we’ve been up to, recently, however!
READING
I finished “We’re Not Like Them” and am currently reading a book called “Unfollow Me” which so far is pretty interesting. My husband hasn’t been reading much lately.
LISTENING
We listen to NPR every morning on the way to work, but we’ve recently started listening to it on the way home as well since I’ve started meeting him near his job so we can travel home together.
WATCHING
We’re very late to the game, but we started watching “The Sinner” which is a show produced by Jessica Biel.
LINKS
Living vicariously through everyone who has gotten to visit Maine during its peak week. This post from Venita talking about her experience was pretty cool.
I know this is an old post, but I’m a sucker for posts with photography using film like this one.
I’ve never been to Ireland, but this post makes us want to go!
For the Potterheads out there, this decoration idea in time for Halloween is pretty cool!
An interesting read about Substack newsletters.
A peek inside the new Orient Express.

- Trying out a new shop: We got to try coffee from a shop that I’ve been eyeing since hearing about their locations in other cities. They opened up a location in our area, so we grabbed a coffee from them to go over the weekend and I was so excited. I’d love to have an event here one day. It’s so pretty inside and the coffee is good!
- Capriotti’s: We got invited to check out the opening of a new location of Capriotti’s, which is a sandwich shop that started in Delaware. As lovers of local things, we were super excited to be invited, especially since we’ve had Capriott’s several times before even trying out their new location. It was cool and my husband wrote about it here.
