It’s been a while since we last published one of these. In fact, the last one that we published was in October and upon reading that one, it looks like there has been a bit of a gap between those posts too. There was also a significant gap between that one the one before that, too, but you get the point. I think it’s safe to say that it’s been busy for several months for us and things will get busier soon, so I think we are leaning more toward not posting them as often. We’re thinking about sharing these once every couple of months or maybe once every quarter but packing it with content. We’re still determining this, but you may notice us kind of playing around with the format and the timing of these posts again until we figure it out. You may have noticed that instead of mentioning the month, we’re focusing on including things we’ve mentioned in the post in the title of the edit for now.
Other than how busy we’ve been, we’ve been feeling really hopeful and we’ve been both trying to take some time to relax and get some things done around the house. I’ve kind of been on a kick where I’ve been moving things around the house in an attempt to reorganize some spots. I’ve also recently purchased a binder to get organized in some other areas of life. Maybe it’s the time of year it is, but I’m trying to go with it and organize when I can and have the energy to.
Enough of my rambling, though. Here’s this edition’s edit!
READING
I am reading “The Other Black Girl” and it’s pretty good so far! My husband hasn’t been reading any books lately, but he’s been reading a lot of articles on different topics.
LISTENING
In addition to our morning NPR listens, I’ve convinced him to listen to Prince Harry’s new book “Spare” on Audible, so we’ve been listening to that together.
WATCHING
My husband’s been watching all of the Rocky films over again, much to my dismay, haha. Other than that, we’ve been watching a lot of “Jubilee” videos – specifically their “Middle Ground” ones.
