It’s already the end of September, but it’s officially the fall season! Now I do not have to curb my enthusiasm anymore when it comes to wanting to try all of the fall-related things.
The leaves have started changing a bit where we are and it’s such a beautiful reminder of the changing season and the beauty to come. I love this time of year where the leaves get crisp, the weather’s a bit cooler, and their hues are a little earthier. Our home is almost finished being decorated for the fall season, but I may add things as the month goes on. In fact, as I’m writing this, I am thinking about moving around some of the pumpkins we have in our living room.
One day we’ll have decor that’s Pinterest-worthy, but for now, I am content with what we have and will keep adding as time goes on. This year, we’re keeping it simple for our indoor decor and I’m okay with that.
Before we get into those posts in the next couple of months, let’s get into some of the things we have been loving this month.
LINKS WE’VE LOVED
Anyone else really love Fall Mood boards? I don’t know but I enjoy seeing what’s currently inspiring people for the fall season and really enjoyed Caitlin’s post about what’s inspiring her!
Kristen is moving into her dream home and I am really excited to see how she decorates it! So far, I’ve been enjoying following her on her Instagram and getting updates there.
This may be a little self-promo, but now that its officially fall, I am going through this Fall Bucket List I made last year and looking forward to crossing off some of these things off of the list and a few new ones! This one too has been giving me some ideas for some fall activities.
This isn’t really a link, BUT we created a new email series where we share the tips that have helped us save quite a bit of money while planning our trips. Wanna know what they are?
This post from Abigail, which features one of my favorite outfits to wear this time of year! Simple, timeless, but perfect for the chilly mornings and warmer afternoons.
This post sharing about Providence’s best restaurants has me wishing I visited some of these during our rainy day visit to Providence. Next time, next time. I also really loved this post from Jess where she’s sharing some of her favorite places to see fall foliage in New England.
This post from Binja in this dress that looks stunning on her!
THINGS WE’VE LOVED
Han isn’t really a huge fan of cinnamon, but I love adding it to my coffee this time of year. Lately, I’ve been really into adding cinnamon to my hot coffee and then using my Ninja Coffee Bar, which I cannot speak highly enough about, I use the frother to mix up the creamer and cinnamon to then pour ontop. It’s so so good.
We visited Cuba Libre a couple of weeks ago for Han’s birthday and wow, was the food incredible. Expect a post soon from one of us sharing about our experience there.
We’re currently planning some fall activities and some things to do for our upcoming anniversary in November. We’re probably not going to go away since we’re hoping to save some money for some things we have planned throughout the year and potentially a summer vacation in 2020. However, we’re still planning to do something for our anniversary and leaning more towards doing some fall-themed things.
The Infographics Show YouTube channel, because it’s so informative and the animations are pretty entertaining as well.
ITEMS WE’VE LOVED
I saw this umbrella stand from this website and am considering purchasing it. I’ve never heard of the website before, however, so I will have to do some more research on it before I do. It’s very cute, though.
These towels are currently hanging on our stove as this season’s decorative towels. Every season and sometimes every holiday, I switch out our dish towels. These ones are used for decorative purposes only as the ones we use to actually dry our dishes hang on our dishwasher’s handle. I love these ones because they’re so punny 😉
This top that I ended up purchasing as a treat to myself because it’s so cute! I love the print and that it’s already layered. Excited to wear it this fall and winter!
These tan corduroy pants that would look so nice on Han for the fall!
This Hickory Hearth candle scent that we purchased recently from Target. Easily one of the candles we light the most.
