Tomorrow starts my Thanksgiving break and I am so excited to rest, prep the house for the holidays, sleep, and hopefully get a lot of things around the house organized. Breaks are such a wonderful time to rest and get things done.
Speaking of the holidays, we’re gradually pushing out the gift guides that we’ve been holding onto for a few weeks. Initially, the plan was to start sharing them next month, but since we’re planning on doing some early Christmas shopping via some of the holiday sales this week, we figured we’d share some items with you as well.
Transparently speaking, it’s our first time participating in gift guides together, so we’re really excited about them and hope that they’re helpful for you. As with all of the things we try to share here, they are budget-friendly, so hopefully, it saves you a couple of dollars this season.
We’re trying something new for this month’s Fresh Pressed Edit where we are going to better differentiate who likes what in these posts. While when I write these, I do include things Han has liked as well, it’s not always clear. So, from now on, our posts will follow this format in terms of identifying who liked what:
My likes: Italicized
His likes: Regular print.
Just as a warning – I liked a lot of things this month, so you’ll see a lot of italicized font in this post. Sorry, ya’ll.
Anyway, here’s a few things that have tickled our fancy this month.
LINKS WE’VE LOVED
I just found out about his blog and I love his content! His house looks so well decorated!
After visiting NYC, I am looking forward to visiting Hamilton Park soon, which has some of the best views of Manhattan.
I started following Rynetta on Instagram recently after being referred to it by another blogger I follow and her outfits are so so stylish! I am especially LIVING for this outfit. I love her content and her ability to mix fabrics so well!
This cafe was easily one of the prettiest places that we’ve visited when we went to New York. Like, can they decorate our home, please?
THINGS WE’VE LOVED
The Sims 4 Discover University came out this month and it’s so fun! It’s definitely realistic in the fact that there’s always so much work to do, though. Like my sims are stressssed!
Dateline is one of our favorite shows to watch (and podcasts to listen to). We’ve been watching a lot of that in recent months.
Maybe it’s because this is our little labor of love, but the newsletter has been something I’ve been enjoying creating content for a lot lately. Each email is individually sent so you’re getting new info from me!
The Bourse in Philadelphia has been one of our favorite places to go on those days when my wife has to work late for work events.
ITEMS WE’VE LOVED
I really like this pennant to put as a part of a gallery wall in one of the rooms in our house.
These labels I am planning on purchasing in an attempt to start organizing our pantry. Speaking of pantry organization, these containers would be really cool to place snacks!
I’ve been going over our list of things we’re hoping to purchase in the future for our bedroom. We’re hoping to finish it this year and so far I love these sconces!
PODCASTS WE’VE LISTENED TO
Cold – In this house, we serve the Lord and listen to a lot of true crime podcasts. It’s our jam and this one has been our latest evening listen before bed.
The Thing About Pam – We finished this podcast this week and it’s so so good!
Bardstown – We just started this podcast and so far it’s good! We’re only a couple episodes in, but we’re interested to see where this goes.
Cultural Talk Podcast– A blogger friend of mine (and fellow educator) and her husband, Pai started a podcast talking about interracial relationships and I love it so much. It’s so cute hearing about their love story and I am excited to see where this goes. Give it a listen if you haven’t!
