As I’m writing this post, I’m actually still in my second trimester, but I wanted to start writing this as I’m in it, so that I didn’t forget any details. The first trimester felt so long and yet like a blur at the same time, so I thought it would be better for me to track things as I’m experiencing them.
I’ve started feeling baby kicks:
I started feeling our baby move and kick this trimester and it’s such a weird, but cool feeling. Even as I’m writing this, I’m feeling baby wiggle and kick around. When I first felt it, I wasn’t exactly sure if that’s what it was or if it was too early since I have an anterior placenta, but my OB and my mom confirmed that exactly what I’m feeling are the flutters and kicks you feel during pregnancy. Han hasn’t been able to feel them yet, but I know he’ll be just as amazed as I am feeling it when he is able to. He already thinks it’s so cool when I mention to him that Baby Kim is kicking me and it’s been so sweet seeing his eyes light up when I say it.
Baby shower planning:
One of my aunts, who is amazing at party planning, is planning our baby shower, which I am so thankful for. All we needed to do was decide on a venue, work on our registry, and a guest list and my aunt focused on the rest. We’re checking things off the list and excited for our shower on the day it comes.
Just a reminder that in hopes of respecting those of you who may not want to read our baby and pregnancy-related content at this time and in hopes of having no limit to how much of it we can share, we’re sharing the full details on our Substack.
