At A Cup of Kims, while we love sharing our favorite budget-friendly finds, experiences, and travel destinations, we also love hearing from you. Whether you’ve dropped a line in our inbox, commented on our Instagram or sent a DM or a tweet on Twitter, we love hearing what you think. So Han and I talked about it and we thought a great way to do that would be to add this curated space of things and places you’ve loved.
So, in the spirit of making things user-friendly, we’ve decided to start a little section called the “Reader’s Roast” where we plan on sharing curated items that you’ve recommended or loved. Think of it as kind of like the “What I Loved” section in editorial magazines featuring things the readers enjoyed, but more casual.
Part of the reason why we decided to implement it is that although we enjoy sharing our experiences, we love hearing from you all! We figured it would be a fun way to learn more about you and some of the things you’ve all been loving.
Reader’s Roast is a place all about what you and others have recommended. Whether it’s your go-to coffee shop, favorite museum or the best slice of pizza you’ve ever had, we’re hoping to cultivate this space as a place where you can hear recommendations other than just ours.
What to Expect
The large majority of these questions featured will be centered around travel, budget-friendly, and destinations, but we may throw some random ones in there just for fun. You will be able to find all reader-curated, Reader’s Roast selections here in this category. Right now there is not a set time on how often these posts will be featured since it’s new and we’re not sure how many submissions we will receive at a given time. We’d love for it to be monthly, however!
How it Works
How it’ll work is that we’ll pose a question that you can submit responses to in a multitude of ways. In each response, your name (or IG/Twitter handle or blog link) and your response will be featured. If you do not want your name or handle featured, feel free to let us know and we will gladly exclude that from our curated roundups. Those submitted responses will then be featured in a post and tagged, so other readers can view it.
How to Submit
We will be accepting submissions for these posts, but we will also be using our Instagram stories, on both Twitter accounts, and our newsletter to ask some questions for some of our reader-curated material. However, if you’d like to take part in our first installment, you can also submit a response here!
