Coffee Shops to Visit in Delaware
While I am 100% a Philly girl at heart, my husband is from Delaware and so by extension, I have a soft spot for the tiny, first state.
Whenever we’re there, whether it’s to visit family or a museum, we love grabbing coffee. In fact, I think there have been only a handful of times that we’ve gone to Delaware without grabbing a cup of coffee, decaf or caffeinated, while there. This is because Delaware has some of our favorite coffee shops and there’s no sales tax, so a $2 cup of coffee is actually $2. In today’s post, I am going to be sharing with you some of our favorite places to grab a cup of joe in Delaware.

Brew HaHa in Trolley Square
This coffee shop is located right in the heart of Trolley Square and is one of our favorite shops to visit. Not only do they have a smorgasbord of choices when it comes to drinks, but they have really great coffee.

De la Coeur
My husband and I love grabbing brunch from this Parisian cafe in Delaware because it’s great service and delicious eats. The menu changes based on the ingredients they have for the week, which means that everything is fresh. But the coffee is amazing because it’s actually La Colombe, a coffee company based in Philadelphia with several stores all over the country.

Harvest House (formerly known as Presto)
When we first started dating, my husband would take me to Presto, which was a coffee shop where you can play board games and drink coffee on comfy couches. We’re both pretty competitive when it comes to games, so it’s always a nice way for us to bond together. When the original owner passed away, the coffee shop closed for a long time. I’m talking like three years long.
Finally, they reopened but rebranded themselves as the Harvest House, which focuses more on locally sourced eats. I really want to try their avocado toast one day that looks heavenly! We recently shared our thoughts about their coffee in a post and loved our experience there!

Sweet Nel’s
We discovered this coffee shop on a whim one day when we were on our way back from hanging out in Wilmington. This coffee shop not only has great coffee, but they sell ice cream! When it’s warmer out, we’ll definitely return for the ice cream.
So far we love grabbing their coffee drinks and their hot chocolate!

Dolce Bakery and Coffee Shop
When we visited Milford, DE together for a concert festival happening down there, we grabbed a coffee from this shop together to enjoy. What I loved about it is that they served really delicious baked goods, coffee, and during the fall they serve apple cider for guests who are craving it. It’s such a great shop to visit if you’re ever in the area and craving a nice cup of coffee!
