Can you believe that 2019 is almost over – just like that?
This month has felt a bit like a blur because I was sick the first half of it. I am not exaggerating when I say it was one of the worst sicknesses I’ve had in a long time, so I am hoping and praying to never have to experience that again. I am still not 100%, because the weather in our city has been kicking our butt, but I’m hoping it’ll be completely gone soon.
When I wasn’t sick, I was drafting up a few changes on the blog, our newsletter, and working on some other things behind the scenes. Some of those changes include our Friday Pressed Edit! We will be deleting former Fresh Pressed Edit posts that are older than six months. We figured after that the links aren’t as relevant, so to make some space on our blog, we’d remove the older posts.
We’ve also been working on a lot of things around the house in hopes of getting it organized, at least 80% furnished, and completely unpacked. Since one of the things some of you mentioned wanting to see more of was our home decor posts, we will be sharing little bits here and there as we get our rooms done. I’m far from an interior designer, but I do love making our house more of a home and we’re looking forward to sharing some of those spaces with you!
That’s enough rambling for this post – let’s get to some of our favorites from this month!
Items in regular print are Ro’s favorites and items in italicized font are Han’s. We switched it because I like too many things each month, so there was a lot of italicized font 😉
LINKS WE’VE LOVED
I found this website through another blogger and it’s been one of my favorites this month. In a world where there seems to be so many negative things happening at once, it’s refreshing to read some positive headlines more often.
We finally got around to watching The Boyband Con on YouTube and it was so so good. It was very nostalgic because I remember when a lot of this happened, but there were somethings I had no clue about. It’s deep, y’all.
I am a sucker for editorial photoshoots that tell a story and Krystal’s posts never fail to amaze me.
Did you hear that Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas” song finally made it to #1 after all of these years?
Mead wine is something we tried recently and it was very delicious! If you’re from the area and looking for a place to try it for the first time, we’d recommend this place.
We don’t have an Alexa device, but I found this post by Carly to be really interesting.
We visited one of my favorite museums, the Nemours Mansion in Delaware this month for their holiday display and they did not disappoint. We even learned something new about why Alfred and Pierre had a falling out.
I recently started following Chimi and I LOVE her posts. I especially loved this post sharing about what her and other bloggers think about blogging in 2019. Also, her hair is absolutely stunning!

THINGS WE’VE LOVED:
I saw the Irishman recently on Netflix and really enjoyed it.
Would it be odd to put Urgent Care on this list since I have been so many times this past month as a result of being sick? They’ve been the real MVPs. I say this jokingly because while they have been great, I am exhausted with going and hope to never have to go again for a long time.
There are two new restaurants we recently visited in our neighborhood and the food is incredible.
We’re getting closer to finally finishing our bedroom. Hoping to have it done sometime next year.
I’ve been really, really into chunky sweaters and turtlenecks paired with wool coats this season. Like this look, may just be my entire wardrobe for the rest of the season because it kind of already is.
PODCASTS WE’VE LISTENED TO:
Cold: We’re still on this kick when it comes to podcasts, lately. We listen to it normally before bed.
Culture Talk Collective: As with last week, we’re still listening to Christina and Pai’s podcast and we’re loving it so far! It’s created some conversations between us as well since we come from two different cultural backgrounds.
ITEMS WE’VE LOVED:
These labels we ended up purchasing to try to organize our kitchen pantry a little more. I ended up putting an Amazon gift-card I received as a reward to good use – eh? Look at us adulting! I also brought these sunglasses with the same gift-card.
We don’t need these, but how pretty are these matching lamps?
I got this print and this print for our house to try to get some more evergreen artwork up in the house. I’m so happy with our purchases and looking forward to putting this one in our bedroom and this one in our kitchen.
