As I shared some time ago, Han has always wanted to post videos on YouTube. The hold-up has been me because as we’ve gotten older, I’ve wondered if it was something that we could keep up with enough. After all, it takes time to create videos and edit them before posting them online. Also, I consider myself a pretty boring person in the sense that outside of traveling, we keep most of our life pretty insular with our friends and family. I post on my personal Instagram maybe once a year (although this is something I’m working on) and I don’t remember the last time I logged into my Facebook account. However, I know that sometimes you have to take risks and it’s one of those things where we could start this channel and it works out or it completely falls flat on its face. We’ll never know if we don’t try – right?

So, we created a YouTube channel! We’ll still be posting our more personal vlogs, vlogs with more of our faces in them, and sit-down videos to our Substack paid subscribers (you’ll receive an example of this in the next month or so), but our YouTube is where we’ll likely share our old and new travel content. Whether we’re documenting our trips to Newport or exploring a town more local to our area in Philadelphia, we wanted to start sharing some of the clips we’ve been holding onto and haven’t shared anywhere. We’d also love to share more videos of our dining experiences and video versions of blog posts we’ve written or plan to write for those of you who are more visual listeners.
Right now we cannot confidently say how often we’ll post because it depends on whether we’re traveling, how much content we have that we think would be worth posting in a video, and how often we’re able to edit those videos. What I can say is that if you subscribe, if you’re interested, you’ll be notified as soon as those videos are posted and we’re going to aim to post either on our Substack for paid subscribers or on our YouTube once a month.
If you’d like to, feel free to subscribe to us on YouTube!
