It’s finally fall!
Well, actually tomorrow starts the fall season, but I am celebrating it today with a delicious PSL (pumpkin-spiced latte) and working on some decorating around the house. We’re not fully unpacked yet, but best believe, our house will still be looking festive!
It’s my favorite time of the year and I am so excited for the cooler weather, gingham, plaid, layers, and boots!
As you may remember, I shared a post sharing some things you can do this fall under $20. While I definitely would like to do those things I shared on the list, I am also hoping to do some additional activities this fall season.
In today’s post, I’m sharing my bucket list for this fall season and a couple of my favorite photographs from last fall!
1. Go Apple Picking
I’ve only been once on a field trip with some former students of mine and I’d love to go again!
2. Visit a Pumpkin-Patch
My husband and I went to Milburn Orchards last year and I am hoping to be able to go again! Their iced apple cider is amazing!
3. Go on a Weekend Getaway for Our Anniversary
This isn’t really fall-themed, but we did get married during the fall! We haven’t been on a vacation with just us since last November, so we’re hoping to be able to spend some time together exploring a familiar or unfamiliar place!
4. Make Homemade Apple Pie
I suppose this would go well with the apple-picking trip. I’ve never made apple pie from scratch, but I would love to try to this year!

5. Visit Lancaster
Lancaster has some of the most beautiful landscapes that I’ve seen around this time of year when the leaves begin to change. We’ve gone twice in the time we’ve known each other for a day, so it would be cool to head back up to see some of the foliage and explore the neighborhoods in Lancaster City!
6. Drink Hot Apple-Cider
There’s nothing like drinking a nice, warm cup of hot apple cider on a chilly day.
7. Decorate Our Front for the Holiday
We have a row home, but I feel there’s still a lot one can do to decorate it and make it pretty! I’m excited to have a front step that I can decorate, whereas living in apartments had made decorating very difficult.

8. Go on a Hayride
One of my favorite things to do at pumpkin and apple patches is go on hay-rides!
9. Host a Friendsgiving
I feel like this is very optimistic of me considering that we still have boxes that aren’t unpacked, but I’d love to host a friends-giving one year! Maybe this year will be the year we do it 🙂
10. Invite Family Over for Dinner
I would love to be able to invite our family over to our home to have dinner and have a relaxing night!

11. Volunteer
It’s been a busy couple of years for us adjusting to holiday schedules that work where we can see both sides of our family for major holidays. Now that we sort of got our bearings together, I’ve been thinking about getting back into volunteering more often. It would be cool to start in the fall as we begin to prepare for Thanksgiving!
12. Make S’mores
We still don’t have a fire pit, but the moment we realized you can make s’mores without them, we’ve been “s’mores’ing” it up when we’re able to.
13. Take the Wilmington Fall Foliage Train
This is one I’m super excited for. It’s something we’ve been trying to plan since he originally told me about it a few years ago. Here’s to this being the year we actually get to experience it!

14. Have a Fall-Themed Date Night
There’s so many fall-related things happening in the cities surrounding where we live that we’re hoping to experience one as a date night this season.
14. Experience the Fall Foliage and Enjoy the Moment More
I am hoping to get out more this fall season and go for more walks as the leaves change colors! I think it’s so easy to get caught up in doing that we forget to appreciate the changing beauty around us. I’m hoping this year to take time to stop and enjoy the fall foliage as the season progresses.

What are you looking forward to doing this fall season? Are some of these items on your bucket list as well?
