If you’ve been following along with our Instagram, you’re probably aware that I have been sharing my #CoffeeOTD for the last couple of weeks. I started it primarily as a comfort for myself since we both love coffee and can no longer visit some of our favorite coffee shops during this time. Some of you seem to like some fo the coffee combinations that I’ve been sharing so far, so I figured I’d make a post sharing some of my favorite coffee recipes that you can also make at home.
Coffee Recipes You Can Make While at Home
MOCHA ICED LATTE
I love a good latte, especially a mocha one. While I’m no barista, this drink has been my go-to most mornings as I continued to work from home, since my husband still has to go out to work. It’s quick, easy to make, and very delicious. Here’s how I usually make mine.
Mocha Latte Recipe

Mocha Latte
1. Brew your coffee of choice.
2. While coffee is brewing, take your mug or glass and rotate it slowly on an angle while pouring chocolate syrup onto the sides.
3. Add ice and coffee to your cup. I usually recommend a cup full of ice.
4. Pour cream into your mug (I recommend about 1-2 tablespoons depending on the size of cup) and stir.
4. If you have access to a frothing device, I’d recommend adding a little froth on top. If you do not have access to one, you can easily accomplish this by whisking warm milk in a pan on low heat.
5. Enjoy!
HAZELNUT MOCHA LATTE
This one is another easy one to make. If you do not have hazelnut extract, you can easily achieve a similar flavor by using hazelnut creamer. You could describe the flavor as being somewhat like Nutella where it’s sweet, but a little nutty.

CINNAMON LATTE
This one is coming at you straight from archives and is a drink I enjoyed quite a bit during the fall season. It’s like a hug for your soul on a cold, rainy day.
Cinnamon Latte

Cinnamon Latte
1. Brew your coffee of choice. I’d recommend adding a teaspoon of cinnamon to your coffee grounds, but this is completely optional.
2. While coffee is brewing, mix a tablespoon of creamer and a 1/2 a teaspoon of cinnamon together.
3. Using your frother, begin to froth the mixture together. If you do not have a frother, you can achieve this by whipping the mixture on low heat on the stove until frothy.
4. Pour froth on top of the coffee you’ve poured into your cup.
5. Enjoy!
CINNAMON MOCHA LATTE
Can you tell I’ve been making a lot of recipes featuring ingredients we’ve already had stored in our kitchen? 😉 This one is also super easy to make if you have these items on hand. It’s also been one of my most recent favorite combinations to make.

6. Pour frothed mixture ontop of cinnamon mocha and garnish with a dash of cinnamon.
5. Enjoy!
MINT CHOCOLATE COLD BREW
This one is another favorite from my previous blog. It tastes like a thin mint, which is one of my favorite cookies to enjoy during this time of year. Here’s how I’ve made it at home.
Mint Chocolate with Whipped Cream

Mint Chocolate
1. Brew your coffee using your preferred coffee grounds. If you’d like it extra minty, you can add a mint leaf or a squirt of mint on top of the grounds before brewing.
2. Once the coffee is one brewing, pour your coffee into a pitcher without ice.
3. Add two squirts of mint extract and two squirts of vanilla. Stir.
4. Let the coffee sit in the refrigerator for approximately 2 1/2 hours or until cool.
5. Once cool, use chocolate syrup to drizzle along the cup.
6. Add ice and your desired creamer (I would recommend plain almond or plain heavy cream).
7. Add whipped cream, drizzle with more chocolate syrup and enjoy!
VANILLA COLD BREW COFFEE WITH WHIPPED CREAM AND CHOCOLATE SYRUP
This oldie, but a goodie, was shot at the first apartment but I never explicitly shared a recipe post for this. It went along with a post I shared giving tips for planning a coffee night, but I never actually divulged what was in those cups…until now, that is.

It’s can be priced than some other milk substitutes, which is one of the reasons why I have not purchased it recently, but it’s so so good. Here’s a version that I’ve made in hopes of replicating some of the ones I’ve had and loved.

It’s one. of the reasons why I look forward to sharing my coffee of the day on Instagram. Now that we’ve shared some of my favorites, we’d love to hear from you!
